Pro MMA Rules
JMMAF will adopt the rules utilized by the worlds most prominent promotions namely UFC and Bellator for all professional MMA events in Jamaica.
The Unified Rules of MMA provides a clear set of rules that’s consistent across the jurisdictions of various athletic commissions and other regulatory bodies.
The framework of the Unified Rules of MMA was proposed and agreed upon by various athletic commissions in the 2000s and unanimously adopted by the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) on July 30, 2009.
The unified rules of MMA is now adopted by all major promotions across the world.
This approach ensures a clean-cut and universal set of rules, adoptable in different countries and easily combined with different sets of protocols.

MMA CAGE
The MMA Ring is unique in combat sports, it eliminates advantages to competitors well versed in the art of cutting off the ring, or the need to reset matches due to stepping out of the rope.
The enclosed MMA Ring creates a neutral arena, with little interference to best showcase the skills of MMA’s athletes.
The MMA Ring consists of a canvas, safety padding and fences as specified in IMMAF Amateur MMA Rules and the Professional Unified Rules of MMA.
Robust plastic coated fences eliminate the chance of athletes tumbling out of the ring, particularly when applying wrestling take-downs.
To ensure safety and fairness certain criteria’s must be met for the Ring/Cage to be Approved for any sanctioned MMA event.
Dimensions: Minimum – 18ft Maximum – 36 ft cage
Sponsorship affords the opportunity for mutual benifit to JMMAF and Sponsors. Enable community outreach, Clinics and seminars.
